Our strike is working! We are very close to reaching a tentative agreement, but we need to hear from you on our strategy regarding healthcare premiums moving forward.

Since the start of bargaining, we've demanded 100% premium coverage for both the Basic and Comprehensive student plans. Despite extending our current 90% coverage to the Comprehensive plan, NYU has refused to move further.

Meetings and past surveys have shown that this is a key issue for GSOC members. That's why we need to hear from you!

GSOC current proposal: 100% premium coverage for Basic and Comprehensive plan, with automatic enrollment

Note: Most PhD students already receive 100% coverage of Comprehensive premiums as part of their fellowships. However, most master's students, who make up roughly a third of GSOC members, currently are only eligible to receive 90% Basic coverage, for the term of their employment.
