LaunchX - Lead Instructor Interest Form
Overview:
LaunchX brings together high school entrepreneurs from across the globe with the resources and network to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit and start real companies. Our entrepreneurial curriculum and startup framework guides students through a disciplined process of starting startups, though the skill and mindset are not enough to ensure their success. Like any budding entrepreneur, they can greatly benefit from being asked the critical questions and being given insightful advice while forming their startups.
The Role:
- Deliver all subject matter outlined in the curriculum with the goal of ensuring that students obtain the predetermined outcomes (skills)
- Take ownership of the instructor role as leader both in and outside the classroom
- Evaluate student progress on a regular basis, providing students with feedback regarding performance in class and any obstacles that may be impeding progress
- Be responsible for leading a cohort of ~10 student startup teams through the entire entrepreneurial process of starting their companies during the program
- Attend weekly meeting with teams to share headway, concerns, and details regarding upcoming meetings with student teams
- Work with students to identify and reflect on specific goals and actions needed in order to successfully run a business
- Manage prototyping requests from student teams using Divvy
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Experience in starting and running your own business
- Experience working/mentoring high school students
