Norwich RC 2024: JuniorLearn2row Courses 

Norwich Rowing Club are delighted to be able to offer two Junior learn2 row courses in the summer 2024. 

The course are for to12yr olds to18year olds (Year 7 to Year 13) from non water rowing schools.  (Norwich School & Norwich High pupils provide their own learn2row programmes so priority is given to non water rowing school pupils) 

The courses are run over three concurrent days from 10am - 3pm  with a short break for lunch.  The courses are led and supervised by our experienced rowing coaches. 

The location is Norwich Rowing Club Whitlingham Boathouses Whitlingham Ln, Norwich NR14 8TS

The cost for the course is £150                                               

  • JuniorL2rowB -    Tuesday 28th Wednesday 29th Thursday 30th May  
By the end of the course they will be introduced to the following experiences over the three days and which will enable them to join the NRC junior squad. 
  • Sculling” technique (that’s rowing with two oars),
  • Safe boat handling
  • Sculling in crews and in individual (training) boats.
  • Using the indoor rowing machine for training technique and fitness. 
  • What to do if you capsize.
  • Having fun on the water! 
  • If conditions permit a capsize
