Nominate an individual via the link to the Google Form below (yourself or another person). You do not need to be a CRAG-VT member to make a nomination. We will reach out to the nominee to confirm their interest in the position and share a bit about what the position entails.

What is the job for this person you are nominating?

The CRAG-VT Board serves to pursue our mission of securing access to climbing in Vermont (full mission at cragvt.org) and acts as a representative of the non-profit's member base throughout the State.  You must be a CRAG-VT member at the date of Board elections to serve. We will be accepting nominations through the end of November and will hold Board elections at the December Meeting on the 1st.

What does the position entail? 

We are looking for folks willing to volunteer their time to actively pursue the CRAG-VT mission. Board Members take on a variety roles. Some examples of how Board Members contribute include: tabling at events, writing grants, leading stewardship days, helping compile our newsletter, participating in acquisition projects, administering our member database, coordinating the Vermont Climbing Festival, social media outreach, and much more. CRAG-VT maintains a high level of output through the volunteer hours of our dedicated volunteers and it is important that candidates are aware and interested in putting in the time and energy that it entails! 

We hold Board Meetings on the first Tuesday of each month and the Board Member is an essential voice at these meetings. Board Members vote on important decisions made in relation to the functioning of our organization and the pursuit of our mission at those meetings.

Most importantly, a Board Member is an advocate for climbing in Vermont. Someone who is passionate about seeing new climbing areas open, teaching folks what it means to be a responsible climber, stewarding our existing crags, and building a welcoming and inclusive climbing community. 

*We like to encourage those that are interested to spend some time "showing up" before making the jump to join the Board. If you have not yet been to any CRAG-VT meetings or events, it may be best to come to some meetings, start volunteering your time, and see if joining the Board would be a good fit for you.
