Description of Art courses:
1. Visual Art: Students will use the creative process to create and present visual art using a variety of techniques. In addition, they will use inquiry, emotional analysis and problem-solving to respond to art in both historical and contemporary contexts. This class will support student development of new and existing skills, including: drawing, painting, sculpting, and other fine art mediums.  

2. Band: Students will play in an instrumental ensemble and will experience performing varying levels of music (At least one year of experience required).

3. Music Exploration: Students will experience various types of instruments such as keyboard, guitar, drums, etc. and learn how how to create and analyze music (Recommended for beginners).

4: Beginning Dance: Body. Soul. Expression. Art. Community. Genius.  Students will create and perform original work, build body and community awareness, and grow dance, acting, and film technique in a variety of styles & genres. This is a beginning performing arts class that will give students a solid foundation in both dance and theatre.

5. Theatre: Students will work as an ensemble to devise and perform original work in a variety of styles, including: Social Justice, Dance/Theatre Fusion, Narrative Performance, Invisible Theatre, Dance Film, and Musical Theatre. Students will use performance to create social change, engage in problem-solving and advocacy, examine current & historical events, and build community connections.

6. Advanced Performance: Students will study advanced technique, form and structure, and meaningful artistic communication. This is a flexible, project-based class where students can direct their own learning and create performance works in the genres/topics of their choice.  Class activities will focus on developing student voice, artistic intent, advanced creative habits, and ensemble building.

Description of Design courses:
1: Design Topics: Using hands-on, project-based collaborative learning, students will develop the skills to become lifelong problem-solvers.

2: Independent Living: Students will learn about basic life needs like nutrition, sewing, money management, and cooking.
