Puget Sound Repeater Group Remote Station Acceptable Use Policy

Introduction:

This Acceptable Use Policy ("Policy") details the standard practices and guidelines for the responsible use of the Puget Sound Repeater Group Remote Station ("Station"). All users are expected to familiarize themselves with this Policy and comply with its requirements. Failure to do so may lead to revocation of access privileges.

Purpose:

The aim of this Policy is to clarify acceptable conduct for Station users, fostering a culture of responsible, respectful, and law-abiding radio communication.

Scope:

This Policy is applicable to all individuals granted access to and use of the Station, irrespective of license class or affiliation.

Policy:

1.       Respect for Licensing Limits: Users must strictly adhere to the operational limitations and frequency allocations specific to their radio license class. Any operation outside these limits is strictly prohibited.

2.       No Interference: Intentional interference with the signals or operations of other radio users is unacceptable. Users should strive for harmonious coexistence on the airwaves.

3.       Equipment Care: All radio equipment must be handled with utmost care and respect. Damaging or causing degradation of equipment is strictly prohibited. Any unintentional damage must be promptly reported to the Station manager.

4.       Ethical Conduct: Users are expected to operate the Station in a manner that respects the rights of others and upholds the principles of the amateur radio community. Inappropriate language, harassment, or any form of discrimination is not tolerated.

5.       Legal Compliance: Users must adhere to all local, regional, national, and international regulations pertaining to amateur radio operation.

Enforcement:

Any violation of this Policy may result in consequences ranging from a warning to suspension or permanent ban, depending on the severity of the offense. Serious breaches of policy or law may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Policy Modifications:

We reserve the right to revise this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Changes will become effective immediately upon publication. Users are advised to regularly review this policy to ensure ongoing compliance.
