GENERAL
Welcome joining Empathy School community, by enrolling your child/children here  you choose to  committed to work together creating an empathetic nourishing environment for our children.

 If you do not agree with any of the below terms and do not feel you can cooperate with them once enrolled, we reserve the right to terminate enrollment.
1. We are an International Nature School pioneering Social Emotional Learning& Individualized learning. Nonviolent communication is widely practiced as a foundation of our philosophy. We respect children as they are our equals, we do not use punishments and rewards to manipulate children to be obedient. We combine different curriculums and we are developing our own curriculums to meet children's learning needs.  We need your efforts and patience together to nourish tomorrow's leaders. Please understand if you are looking for something other than this , we cannot accommodate your needs.
2. We send all important information via email and WA at the moment. Please add our email and WA to your priority list so you will not miss anything.
3. We are open during National Holidays.
4. School begins at 08:30 and ends at 15:00 Monday to Friday. The latest pickup time is 15:15. Only children who are participating (registered and paid when applicable) for after school programs, may stay until 16:15. School is not liable for their supervision if they are not enrolled in a program and remain at school.
5. Parents or guardians will be provided with/required to fill out a “Driver Release Form”  where the names and pictures of the people responsible for picking up the child will be noted and signed, please inform the school before 13:00 and received confirmation if there is change.
6. Parents who drop off their child/children in the morning may stay up to a maximum of 15 minutes in the school area unless there is other arrangement being agreed beforehand.  
7. Our school is mostly outdoors.  Nature is our first teacher, while our children are enjoying the wonder and beauty of mother earth, interacting with plants, animals, playing with mud.... they will also be expose to sun and rain, they may fall, scratched, bug bites, itchy, or potential  allergic reactions, these are all important learning experiences to develop their nature awareness and resilience.
8. Students outfits
Considering the active nature of the school, we recommend the female students to wear pants/shorts/leggings, or these underneath dresses and skirts. Please also prepare swimming suit and changing clothes, hat, sunblock.

Meals
1. We serve balanced and love infused plant-based lunch with all you can eat fruits, homemade vegan desserts. All the fresh produces are locally sourced and as clean/organic as possible. This choice allows us to nourish our bodies and heal the land together.  Children are not allowed to bring meat products, diary products, eggs and sugary snacks  to the school area. Please be sure when children bring their own snacks or lunch they are healthy and well balanced vegan choices. It’s very difficult for the other children when they see others bringing candies, chocolates, cookies, sprinkles, chips and soda. All children should be equally enjoying healthy food peacefully while at school.
2. We would like to request the parents whose children have any kind of allergy to certain foods, should bring your own plant-based lunch box if our school kitchen can not accommodate it.
3. Each child should bring a water bottle to school. Please be sure they bring them home and wash them regularly to keep them clean.

Health And Sick Policy
1.  Due to the nature of the school, parents should understand that accidents may happen. We provide our own First Aid Kit, if any inquires are able to be handled in house, we will call the parents and transfer the child to the nearby clinic/hospital.
2. The school is not able to accommodate any dietary restriction that are not medically related.
3. Unfortunately, head lice is a common issue in Bali. and it can spread very fast, all parents must check their children for head lice every week. Please do not send your children to school with head lice. We perform regular lice checks at school, if lice are found we will inform the parents to pick up early and to do lice treatment before returning to school.
4. If you see your child has a rash or wound or marks on their skin that is not normally there, please bring a Doctor’s letter that says that he/she can contact with other people without spreading this condition.
5. Colds, flu and other contagious diseases are a serious issue in a school environment because it’s spread so rapidly. Parents are asked to keep children home when they shows symptoms of illness. If your child exhibits any active symptoms of illness, he/she will not admit to the school.
6. If your child has a fever at night, he/she must not attend the next morning. You are required to wait 24 hour after the fever breaks before sending your child back to school.
7. If your child vomit during the night, do not send he/she to school the next day. You are required to wait 24 hour after the child vomit before sending your child back to school.
8. If your child have a severe flu symptoms, e.g. persistent cough or severe running nose, please take your child at home so they may rest and recover.
9. Head lice, scabies, impetigo, chicken pox, measles, rubella, mumps, meningitis and some forms of conjunctivitis (pink eye) are contagious and must be properly treated and no longer contagious before  your child may attend school.

PAYMENT AND FEE
1. All payments are not refundable.
2. All payments must be made by the deadlines provided. We request the receipt of your payment before your child starts school.

STUDENTS BEHAVIOUR AND MORAL
1. Students must respect and follow the rules and the regulation set by the school.
2. Students must respect and value all the differences found in the school (with other students, teachers, staff, etc).
3. If your child proved to be problematic in regard to these aforementioned rules we will send a behavior report with them describing the incident which will need to be signed by the parents. If the problem persists, we may ask your child stay home to reflect on his/her action. We will also ask you to come in to meet with us to discuss how to improve things.
4. Participation is a big factor in our school day, if your child is continuously refuses to participate, we will request you to pick them up. We will have no an extra staff for children not attending class, please your child to attend all classes provided.
5. If a poor behavior by a child does not improve and is affecting the school environment we reserve the right to end their enrollment at the school.
6. Not to inflict pain or hurt on anybody or anything by thought, word or action, it is not only that but also this includes protecting what is right. Such act of heroism.
7. It implies the proper or right use of mind and words in the spirit of welfare.
8. To renounce the desire to acquire or retain the wealth of the others.
9. To renounce everything except the necessities for the maintenance of the body. Control over objectivity. For example teaching children not to be greedy.
10. To study, with proper and clear understanding

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. The school does not have a professional staff to assist children with special needs. For the time being we will not be able to assist them in our school.
2. We are not as ESL school and as such, any ESL students who require extra help will have to do so after school hours at an extra cost.
3. The field trip will be held one or two times in a year. Parents needs to signed the announcement letter provided and send back to school one day ahead the event.

TECHNOLOGY
1. The school not allow all the technology and internet access for class activities unless for urgent projects only and will be supervise by teacher.
