You are interested in being part of the Heart & Soul stream team? Awesome!
Before going further,
please read the following carefully:
-Our team enforces a rule of 18+ for all viewers and community members. As much as I'd love for us to serve as positive role models and healthy communities for underage folks, it is simply unsafe for us and I value the safety of our communities too much to put it at risk. It pains me, but it feels necessary.
-You should have been a streamer for at least 6 months at the moment of applying to the team.
-You should aim to stream at least twice a week (it's 100% ok to take time off or if things happen or to not have a schedule, but the goal should be to stream twice a week or more).
-What our team values most is live community interactions and building friendships, and as such, no afk (away from keyboard) streams should happen except under exceptional circumstances.
-Cursing in moderation is fine, but no anger screaming and raging.
-Your behavior in all of Twitch and related online communities (e.g. Discord), not just on your own channel, should represent our values of kindness, empathy, and emotional maturity. You should not maliciously troll, rage, flame, insult, mock, or spread drama. You should exhibit healthy and mature communication skills at all times, and so should your moderators.
-I am not here to supervise you or anyone on the team or to serve as mediator. If any personal conflicts or personality clashes arise between you and other members of the team, you should have the communication skills and emotionally maturity to discuss the issue calmly with them directly in private and work it out. Don't talk behind people's backs or wash dirty laundry in public, even less so fellow team members.
-You may want to consider another team if you play a lot of horror games, very loud games, violent games, and FPS games (on occasion is fine).
-You may want to consider another team if you have a lot of very loud and frequent sound commands (e.g. sirens, airhorns, jumpscares, gunshots) or if you have a very chaotic stream environment (e.g. TTS, Dixper, lots of cheap channel point redemptions that let people take over) -- occasional ones are fine and some chaos is totally fine too (I even have a jumpscare bit alert), it's more about the general atmosphere.
-You may want to consider another team if there is a lot of banter, memeing, and trolling in your stream.
-You should always try your best not to spread negativity. Negative opinions about games, about PCG, about people, etc. can be super valid, but we have to be careful with the way we use our platform. Try to counterbalance negatives with positives, and speak with nuance, or simply keep a negative opinion to yourself or for private conversations.
-If you stream with voice chat on and guest speakers, please always be careful who you let speak. You are responsible for what is said on your stream.
-Please ask before using anyone's assets and ideas, and give credit where credit is due. We encourage creativity and love to brainstorm ideas! We work hard on our stream behind the scenes to keep our content fresh, clean, pretty, and accessible.
-We love the idea of growth and we aim to lift each other up, but streamers in our team do not focus on view count or sub count. We value people, not numbers. Growth and success should not be measured in terms of numbers.
-You should be at least semi-active on our team's private Discord server.
-We don't take ourselves seriously, but we take our streams seriously.
-Most importantly, I want to see heart and soul in what you do. I want to see your wonderful, authentic self shine through, to lead your community by example, and to provide a warm, safe environment, to infuse all your content with your own awesome personality.
Please answer the following questions with utmost sincerity. This is not a job application. There are no wrong answers. These are just ways for me to know if you're a good fit for Heart & Soul, and to get to know you better. This is not at all about being good enough or skilled enough or big enough for the team, you're not here to impress me, but whether I think you're a good match. Again, this has nothing to do with how good a streamer you are so do not feel bad if you are not selected. It wouldn't be because I don't think you're good enough or I don't like you enough, far from that. In fact, some of my best friends and favorite streamers don't fit. So please be as truthful and detailed as possible -- I do not care about wordiness and grammar and such, just write with your heart. Any information shared here will remain 100% confidential (only DrKrabby will ever read it).
