Scouts,

It is that time of year where all of our Scouting units participate in our Annual Tamale Sales to help the boys raise funds to pay for camps and other activities throughout the year.  An email was sent out with a form which can be filled out and turned in to take orders.  In addition, you have the opportunity to sell tamales after each of the masses at St. Thomas the next three weekends.

Important Information and Dates

Scouts have 2 weeks to sell to family and friends. Call them on the telephone or email the flier to them. Scouts earn money for each dozen sold. Wow!

Don’t forget to collect payment at the time of order.
Checks made payable to Troop 007.

Church Sales at St. Thomas
Scouts attend services to sell tamales, as a group, directly to the patrons in the courtyard. Scouts earn money for each dozen sold. Sign up early to guarantee yourself a spot. Only 3 scouts per service. Sales will be split between those in attendance.

CLASS A UNIFORM IS REQUIRED.
Mass times and times when youth can sell are:
1.)  Saturday 5:00pm Mass.  Arrive by 5:30pm and stay for 1 hour.
2.)  Sunday 7:30am Mass.  Arrive by 8:00am and stay for 1 hour.
3.)  Sunday 9:00am Mass.  Arrive by 9:30am and stay for 1 hour.
4.)  Sunday 10:30am Mass.  Arrive by 11:00am and stay for 1 hour.
5.)  Sunday 12:00pm Mass.  Arrive by 12:30pm and stay for 1 hour.

At most we would like 3 Scouts signed up for each slot.

If you are a parishioner attending one of these masses and are able to stay and help, leave right as mass is ending and go to the Hall.  You can wear Class A uniform to mass.

Monday, Dec 9 Tamale Scout orders due!
Tally the number of tamales ordered on the form and make sure it matches the amount of money you collected.
Bring the form and payment to the scout meeting to place your order. Keep your form. You will need it for delivery.

Monday, Dec 16 Christmas Tamales are here!
We will bring them to the church for pick-up. Bring your original order form and an ice chest. You will need the ice
chest to keep your tamales warm and your form to refer to for delivery. We encourage you to deliver the tamales that same evening. Your scout will not have a meeting that night but it is nice to deliver in a Class A uniform, the tamales are
warm and you don’t want to store them in your own freezer- do you?
