Kindermusik with Missy Parent Health and Safety Commitment
As the educators of Kindermusik with Missy prepare for the upcoming year in a way that takes into account the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic, we are asking our families to commit to following additional health and safety guidelines and procedures, not only for the protection of their own children but also out of love and consideration for others in our community. We know these new guidelines and procedures may be an inconvenience to you at times during this year, but they will also give us the greatest chance of staying in person and keeping our Kindermusik community healthy. Please read the statements below that collectively make up this Parent Health and Safety Commitment, and then sign below to affirm your agreement to them.

Parent Pledge

As a Kindermusik with Missy family, and out of consideration for those around us, we commit to the following:
We commit to keeping our children home if they are sick, or suspected to be sick, for any reason.
We commit to follow all Kindermusik with Missy’s health policies for children in the class, physical distancing, and other requirements as needed for the health of our school community.
We commit to notifying Kindermusik with Missy, calling our health care provider, and isolating as recommended should our children, or any member of our household, develop fever, chills, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, a new cough, or a new loss of taste or smell.
We commit to notifying Kindermusik with Missy and quarantining/isolating per Kindermusik with Missy and Health Department guidelines if our children or any member of our household is exposed to COVID-19 or tests positive for COVID-19.
During this time of the increased risk of illness, we acknowledge and commit that our child will be fever free for 72 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medications like Motrin or Tylenol) before bringing them back to class.
We commit to keeping Kindermusik with Missy educators updated with any health changes regarding our children.
We commit to transition and participate in digital learning in the event a class must be closed due to following the guidelines of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.  We recognize any closure will be temporary and we will return to in-person learning as soon as we can ensure the health and safety of our students and educators.

Parent Acknowledgement of Risk & Release of Liability:

As a Kindermusik with Missy family, we also acknowledge and agree to the following:

We acknowledge that attending class involves some inherent risks for exposure to viruses (such as COVID-19) or other effects on the general health and well-being of our children, and we willfully accept and assume these inherent risks.
We understand that it is impossible to eliminate all inherent risks and, because of this, we acknowledge that we have a responsibility, along with our children, to help reduce that risk by obeying all safety rules and reporting all physical and/or hygiene problems.
We agree to hold harmless Kindermusik with Missy, St. John's Baptist Church, and Kindermusik with Missy employees from any and all claims arising from our children’s attendance at class, other than injuries or illnesses resulting from gross or willful negligence.
