Application Form for SAVE Peer Educator Position 2022-2023
Thank you so much for your interest in the Sexual Assault and Violence Education Peer Program, aka SAVE! Please read the information below to learn about the role of SAVE volunteer peer educators and the mission of the SAVE program.

The CARE office is looking for SAVE volunteer peer educators who are dedicated to creating a safer campus, instilling consent culture, and educating the campus about available resources.  

What is SAVE's mission?  
SAVE's mission is to address consent, healthy relationships, resources for survivors, active bystander intervention, and other sexual violence-related issues creatively and inclusively with folks on campus.  
 
What do SAVE peer educators do?  
SAVE peers are student volunteer peer educators who facilitate campaigns, workshops, discussions that educate and promote topics like consent, rape culture, healthy relationships, bystander intervention, and resources for survivors.  SAVE peer educators also educate the campus about CARE resources and advocacy services.  Peers are active throughout the academic year and also outreach at nooners, in residence halls, and other campus events and assist in CARE programs promoting consent and healthy relationships.  
 
Current requirements to be a SAVE Peer Educator include:
Undergraduate student who is 2nd year and above at the start of Fall Quarter 2022 (*preferably with a year on campus as a UCR student)
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above
Attendance of the CARE Student Content Training
The ability to work well in a group dynamic, collaborate with others, and receive feedback
 
What is the time commitment?
SAVE peer educators positions are for the full academic year: Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters
Attendance of the mandatory CARE Student Content Training taking place in September
Attendance of weekly hour long meetings every quarter (must attend a minimum 80% of these meetings)
Active participation each quarter for SAVE and CARE workshops, events and campaigns
