2021 BGC Pennants Interest and Commitment
Based on consultation with previous captains of all divisons the club has represented in pennants, here is the process for pennants selection in 2021.
The club is looking for a squad of 30-40 players to participate in Division 2, 4, 5 and 6 teams that Golf WA has given us. Division 4-6 must be Full or Junior Members, however, Division 2 players can have Country, Junior or Full Member status.
The current 7 rounds (still not finalised) are played between March 21 - May 23 with the Final being on May 30. You need to have played 4 games in the Division to be eligible for the final. The Selection Committee, comprised of previous captains and a non-playing club representative, will select the top 28 available players from the squad based on the following:
Current GA at time of selection
Scoring average over previous 4 rounds
Previous pennant and/or club championship match play records
Records at playing other courses (eg Open Events, Country Week etc)
Supporting pennants at the club (willingness to play, offering support etc)

If you choose to participate, even as a fill-in, you will need to:
Purchase a pennants shirt and hat (if you play in Div 2 you will need to purchase a full uniform)
Contribute money to the captain of the team you play for that week which goes towards catering when we host
Support in hosting roles if you are playing that day

Please complete the survey below by the 20th January if you are interested in playing, even if you aren't available for finals. The squad will be emailed out to those who complete the survey on the 25th of January so we can prepare uniform orders.
