CACFP Nationwide Waivers due to COVID–19: Extension
On June 25, 2020, the USDA extended nationwide waivers that include the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to support access to nutritious meals while minimizing potential exposure due to COVID-19. All of these waivers are effective July 1, 2020, and remain in effect through June 30, 2021. These waivers apply to child care, adult care, emergency shelters, and At-Risk Afterschool Programs. Sites may only claim meals distributed to enrolled participants.

🔺All agencies must complete this form to participate in these waivers even if previously submitted.

NOTE: At-Risk Afterschool Programs may implement these waivers at the start of the 2020-2021 School Year, not before.

Non-congregate Feeding: Allows meals/snacks to be consumed off-site. Meals/snacks can be picked-up or delivered.

Allow Parents and Guardians to Pick up Meals for Participants: Meals/snacks can be picked-up by families of participants.

Meal Service Times: Allows meal service time flexibility in order to supply meals outside of the contracted meal service times. This waiver also enables sites to distribute up to a week’s worth of meals to enrolled participants at a time.

All other CACFP regulations and proper documentation must be maintained. Go to CACFP COVID-19 Question and Answers for additional requirements on the waivers: https://dpi.wi.gov/sites/default/files/imce/community-nutrition/pdf/cacfp_covid-19_q_and_a.pdf
