We are a consortium formed by the University of the Azores (UAc), the Centro de Desenvolvimento Infantojuvenil dos Açores (CDIJA) and the Azores Travel Agency, SA (Açoreana DMC).
Since the Azores is an European destination in the middle of the Atlantic, with a mild climate and exuberant, exclusive and non-mass nature (https://www.visitazores.com/en), we are developing the project “AZORES – ALL IN BLUE ” aimed at creating innovative touristic products for families with children (3-15 years old) with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
This questionnaire aims to listen to  tourism and leisure service providers about their motivations and considerations regarding the possibility of assisting families with children with ASD.
Children with ASD have a neurological disorder, characterized by impaired social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, and sometimes restricted and repetitive behavior. Please consider these characteristics when filling out the questionnaire (for more information about ASD, you can consult the link https://www.fpda.pt/autismo).
The participation is voluntary and you can stop and abandon the the process of filling the questionnaire at any time. This filling takes approximately 7 minutes. Responses are anonymous and confidential. The data, stored until the conclusion of the research will be statistically treated by the team responsible for the analysis, in accordance with all the ethical requirements.
Your collaboration is very important for the creation of innovative touristic products that respond to the needs of this segment of the community, for their dissemination to associations that support ASD, tourist promoters and at scientific events.
