Practice performing in a friendly, low-stakes environment! Whether you're looking for more experience singing in front of people, a chance to try out a piece with a pianist, an opportunity to become familiar with more vocal repertoire, or a fun way to connect with the local singing community, this is the place for you. Singers of all ages and levels are welcome and encouraged to sign up. We can't wait to make some music together, no matter where you are in your singing journey!

Our upcoming No Stress Studio is on Sunday, March 24 from 4:00-5:30pm at Boston Lyric Opera's Fort Point Lyric Room.

There is street parking and also several lots nearby. It is about a ten minute walk from the Broadway Red Line stop.

The BSR No Stress Studio will be held on a (mostly) monthly basis. You will have approximately 10 minutes to sing whatever repertoire you choose, although we will typically expect to be working mostly in classical and classical-adjacent genres, whether it be opera, operetta, oratorio, art song, musical theatre, etc.

Please fill out the form below to reserve your spot! The fee to participate is $10 for BSR Members and $25 for non-members. (You can also sign-up for free to support your friends from the audience!) A pianist will be provided at no additional cost, but you are welcome to bring your own. Don't forget to bring a binder with your sheet music for the pianist. You do not need to dress formally, but of course you can if you wish! We will not be recording the session, but you are welcome to bring a device to record your own performance.

Unfortunately, we have had several "no-shows" at our recent No Stress Studios. This is a reminder that slots are limited, and that by filling out this form, you are making a commitment to attend. If you cannot make it, no stress, but please try to send us an email at least 48 hours in advance to let us know so we can fill your slot. If you sign up but do not attend, and do not communicate with us, we will mark you down as a "no-show" and will have to prioritize other singers in the future.
