K'NEX STEM DESIGN

Stem learning challenges students to brainstorm, develop, and implement a solution to an engineering problem.  This club will utilize K'NEX building materials to create innovative projects.Our goal is to get students interested in tapping into their creativity and design abilities during the first session.  Later sessions will lead to us building one or more teams that will compete in the DCIU STEM Design Challenge March 20th & 21st.  The top team in each division at each regional BBC competition will advance to the state competition.

DETAILS
Mrs. Conners, Mrs. DeRitis, and Ms. Zdinak will be leading this club. It will be open to students in grades 6-8 and will be offered on Monday afternoons from 3-4 pm in the Computer Lab, beginning on January 23, at a cost of $90 per child for a period of 8 weeks (ending on March 13th).  March 13th will be an in-house competition. The students will present their projects to a panel of judges. 1st and 2nd place teams will move on to the regional competition at the DCIU on March 20th & 21st. If your child is interested, please fill out the form below, send $90 per child in an envelope marked K'Nex Stem Design to Mrs.Conners's attention.  Cash or VENMO @Dina-Conners

 PLEASE NOTE: Students are expected to complete the 8 week commitment as no refunds will be given.
