Swim team is for all swimmers ages 5-18 or anyone who can swim the length of the pool without stopping and can float on their back without help.  Below is some more information regarding the Lowry Swim Team.

Our Goal
The goal of the Lowry Swim Team is to make the swim team experience a successful and happy time for all swimmers.  Practices will be enjoyable and swimmers will find a pleasant environment filled with rich and challenging experiences.  

The benefits of competitive swimming are many.  Swimmers will have the opportunity to meet people and make new friends, participate in one of the most beneficial forms of cardiovascular exercise, develop the lifetime sport of swimming, and develop time management skills, self-discipline, and sportsmanship.  Your swimmer will continue to reap the benefits of participation long after his or her association with the Lowry Dolphins.  

Swim Team Regular Season
The swim team’s regular season officially starts on Monday, June 7th and ends Thursday, August 5th.  Swim team practices are Monday through Thursday from 8:00-8:50 and 9:10-10:00 depending on what team best fits your child’s swimming abilities. We are limiting each team to no more than 25 kids in the pool at a time.   Depending on how many swimmers are interested in swim team this season, we may have to split the teams further and have practice for some swimmers on Monday and Wednesday and another team on Tuesday and Thursday to accommodate all our swimmers.  Please fill out your child’s Swimmer Information form to state your preferences regarding swim team practice times and days.
