Low morale is the result of repeated and protracted exposure to emotional, verbal/written, and system abuse or negligence in the workplace (Kendrick, 2017).
This short survey is open to participants who 1) ARE CURRENTLY EXPERIENCING LOW MORALE and 2) CURRENTLY SEEKING or CONSIDERING SEEKING NEW EMPLOYMENT. The survey explores if and how job hunting during a low-morale experience has impacted you, your library practice/work, and/or your perception of the LIS profession and career outlook. No questions request personally identifying details, and none of the questions require a response. Results may be shared on the Renewers forum, the Renewals blog, and in teaching or support materials.
This form takes as long to fill out as required for you to consider your experience - offer as much or little information as you like. Thank you for helping shed more light on this unique aspect of low morale.
If you would like, you may also share details of your low-morale experience here:
