Building a Writer's Life: Chapbook Panel RSVP
What: ✨BUILDING A WRITER’S LIFE: CREATING, CRAFTING, AND CURATING A CHAPBOOK✨

The! World! Wants! Your! Poems! In the first installment of our Building a Writer’s Life Series, we’re diving in to chapbooks: curating, creating, and publishing!

Join us on February 28 for a panel and Q&A with four dynamic, experienced, and wise wise wise writers (and THOI alumni!) about the ins and outs of publishing a chapbook.

Here’s what we’ve learned: You’ve got stories to tell, poems to write, and narratives to enrich. You’ve got a folder on your desktop or a stack of notebooks full of poems just waiting to be read by your loved ones and comrades, and We! Want! Your! Poems! In! The! World! Some of you have compiled a chapbook or two, while others don’t know where to start. Collectively, we have an ✨abundance✨ of wisdom, and we’re making way for that wealth of knowledge to be shared.

In the first of a series of community resource building events, we’ve got a stellar line up of poets that have edited anthologies, published multiple chapbooks, worked on themed collections, been traditionally published — and we want to learn what they know!

Come to learn about these writers’ processes, share your own publishing process, or just to share space with peers who are right alongside you on their writing journey.

This panel is open to anyone, and it’s free to attend.

Moderated by The Heart of It staff, we’ll also be sharing resources for the practical side of things: formatting, printing, cover design, editing — we hope you’ll join us ✨

We hope you'll join us!

When: Wednesday February 28, 6-7:30 pm PT
