Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Murrays Bay Primary School is dedicated to giving our students innovative and creative opportunities to learn. We understand that we learn in many different ways and from many different people. During Term 3 our entire school will be participating in different passion projects for an entire week. Your child has chosen their passion and will participate in a week of learning and growing in their chosen area. This is a fantastic opportunity for different ages of students to work together and learn from each other, while possibly working with different teachers too!
 
Your child has chosen Body Motion (Parkour) as their Passion Project and will participate in a 3 day, hands on learning experience from Tuesday, 31 August - Thursday, 2 September. This is a great opportunity for different students to work together and learn from each other while having fun!

Teachers involved:
Mr Matt Walker, Mr Joe Gong and Mrs Moana Moller

Students will enjoy parkour at Jump Trampoline Park in Rosedale on Tuesday, and FLOW Academy of Motion in Albany on Wednesday and Thursday.
At JUMP, students will receive an instructional lesson followed by unstructured time to apply the skills they have learned.
At FLOW students will be introduced to the basic ideas, intermediate concepts of fundamentals, style/aesthetic and freerunning of parkour. Students will be grouped according to their age to participate in two course runs.

We ask that all long hair is tied up and students wear their school sports uniform.
Students and parents to bring morning tea, lunch and a water bottle

COST
The cost for the 3 days is $80.00. This MUST be paid before Friday, 27 August 2021.
This will cover the cost for transport and tuition.

Payment
Online Payment is preferred.
Using your child's name, Year Level and Teachers Initials & the chosen Passion Project as reference
(eg, John Smith, Y1 CA, Body Motion).

Additionally we will need parent helpers to assist with this event, supporting the children in their learning, and ensuring appropriate behaviour at all times. If you are able to help, please indicate on the form below. There is no cost to parents who assist on the day.
