Voor haar nieuwe voorstelling ‘What Remains’ is Zoë Demoustier op zoek naar kinderen tussen de 6 en de 12 jaar oud. Technische achtergrond is niet vereist, zin om te bewegen wel!
In plaats van een enge auditie met prestatiedruk wordt dit een auditieworkshop zonder enige druk waar ontdekking centraal staat. Samen maken we er een amusante, interessante en gewoon fijne dag van. De workshop is gratis, en iedereen is welkom voor de eerste auditieworkshop! Uit die eerste ontmoeting worden deelnemers geselecteerd voor het vervolg.

'What Remains' is een verhaal over beginnen en eindigen, over waar je als kind begint of waar je als oudere eindigt. De poëzie van het veranderen als mens, het maken van herinneringen en de angst om deze te verliezen.
In 'What Remains' brengt Zoë Demoustier twee generaties samen op scène: kinderen die beginnen aan het leven en oudere dansers die al wat van dat leven achter zich hebben. De uitkomst van die ontmoeting is een fysiek en dansant spel tussen jong en oud dat het vergankelijke lichaam blootlegt. In een bewegingstaal waarin rollen kunnen omkeren, staan beiden krachtig in hun kwetsbaarheid. In de gelijkenissen en de verschillen vinden ze elkaar.

Pour son nouveau spectacle de danse ‘What Remains’, Zoë Demoustier est à la recherche d’enfants entre 6 et 12 ans. Aucune formation technique n'est requise, mais l’envie de bouger l'est !
Au lieu d'une audition effrayante avec une pression de performance, ce sera un atelier d'audition sans aucune pression où la découverte est centrale. Ensemble, nous en ferons une journée amusante, intéressante et tout simplement agréable. L'atelier est gratuit, et tout le monde est le bienvenu au premier atelier d'initiation ! A partir de ce premier rencontre, les participants sont sélectionnés pour la suite.

'What Remains' est une histoire qui parlera de commencements et d’achèvements, au point où vous commencez en tant qu'enfant ou là où vous finissez en tant que personne plus âgée. La poésie du changement en tant que personne, la création de souvenirs et la peur de les perdre.
Dans 'What Remains', Zoë Demoustier réunit sur scène deux générations : des enfants qui commencent leur vie et des danseurs plus âgés qui ont déjà une partie de cette vie derrière eux. Le résultat de cette rencontre est un jeu physique et dansant entre jeunes et plus âgés qui expose le corps éphémère. Dans un langage corporel où les rôles peuvent être inversés, tous les deux sont forts de leur vulnérabilité. Au sein de similitudes et de différences, ils se retrouvent.

For her new performance 'What Remains', Zoë Demoustier is looking for children between 6 and 12 years old. Technical background is not required, but a willingness to move is!
Instead of a scary audition with a lot of pressure, this will be an audition workshop without any pressure where discovery is central. Together we will make it an amusing, interesting and simply enjoyable day. The workshop is free, and everyone is welcome for the first audition workshop. From that first meeting, participants are selected for the sequel.

'What Remains' is a story about beginning and ending, at the point where you start as a child or where you end as an older person. The poetry of changing as a person, making memories and the fear of losing them.
In 'What Remains' Zoë Demoustier brings two generations together on stage: children who are starting life and older dancers who have already had some of that life behind them. The outcome of that encounter is a physical and dancing game between old and young that exposes the perishable body. In a language of movement in which roles can be reversed, both are strong in their vulnerability. They find each other in the similarities and differences.

Over Zoë Demoustier:
Zoë Demoustier (1995) is performer en choreograaf. Het lichaam is steeds het vertrekpunt van haar visuele voorstellingen. Vanuit beweging maakt ze linken met actuele en geëngageerde onderwerpen en creëert ze documentaire choreografisch werk. Zoë maakte de voorstellingen 'nesten' (fABULEUS/Anna Bentivegna & Ayrton Fraenk), 'Road to Nowhere' (Forsiti’A/Yelena Schmitz), 'Born to be wild' (Thespikon) en werkte als performer en assistent met o.a. Kabinet K, Michiel Vandevelde, Alma Söderberg/Manyone, Iris Bouche/Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, David Weber Krebs en Marcelo Evelin. In 2021 was ze ambassadeur van Dag van de Dans waarin ze dansmakers van morgen creëerde i.s.m. De Zendelingen. Vanaf 2022 start ze een nieuwe samenwerking als choreograaf bij Ultima Vez.

A partir du mouvement, elle fait des liens avec des sujets actuels et engagés et crée une oeuvre chorégraphique documentaire. Zoë a fait les performances 'nesten' (fABULEUS/ Anna Bentivegna & Ayrton Fraenk), 'Road to Nowhere' (Forsiti'A/Yelena Schmitz), 'Born to be wild' (Thespikon) et a travaillé comme performeuse et assistante avec Kabinet K, Michiel Vandevelde, Alma Söderberg /Manyone, Iris Bouche/Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, David Weber Krebs et Marcelo Evelin. En 2021, elle était ambassadrice de la Journée de la danse au cours duquel elle crée les créateurs de danse de demain en collaboration avec De Zendelingen. A partir de 2022 elle entamera une nouvelle collaboration en tant que chorégraphe chez Ultima Vez.
