At Community A.L.E.R.T., we have numerous ways for you to get involved as a volunteer. We could not achieve our mission without the contributions of our Volunteers and Corporate Sponsors. As a volunteer with Community A.L.E.R.T., you become a member of a community with a strong belief of encouragement, empowerment, and excellence being bestowed upon today’s youth. Volunteers are required to be 18 years of age to assist outside of a group. We ask volunteer groups to have at least 1 adult chaperone per 8 youth volunteers under the age of 18. Please review our “Programs Page” for an overview of our program offerings.

New Dimension Scholars Program – educators, tutors, parent involvement speakers/trainers

Youth Awards Recognition Program – set-up, greeters, ushers, reception coordinator

Tutoring and Homework Assistance – tutor a child, read to a child

Youth Awareness – teach a class, mentor a child

Computer Training – teach basic computer skills, organize computer projects for students

Spiritual Development – teach a Bible class

Physical Development – teach a new sport or game, organize an athletic activity

Arts/Cultural Enrichment – organize plays, build props, teach music , dance or art

Christmas Store – sponsor a student, volunteer at the Christmas Family Dinner

Community Service Projects – chaperone service projects for the children

Field Trips – chaperone for students

Fund-Raising Coordinator – assist with generating funds to cover the overall operating expenses.
