St Benedict's P&F

Survey questions for St Benedict’s P&F

The key formal body for the engagement of parents and carers at St Benedict's is the Parents & Friends Association (P&F). By supporting the work of the P&F, parents and carers show their support of our College and the Catholic Benedictine culture. The P&F in the past has funded shade sails, 2 college mini buses, equipment for the college cafe, outdoor seating for students, table tennis tables, flag poles, oval upgrade and football posts, honour board, CAPA dance and choir program, Year 7 BBQ and drink bottle, funds to support Year 12 graduation activities, Mother's Day lunch and World Teachers Day lunch for staff.

The P&F meets once each term.

The  key role and responsibilities of our P&F is;

  • formally recognise the role that parents/carers play in the education of their children;
  • provide a collaborative, accessible forum for parents to meet formally and regularly with college staff to discuss matters pertaining to the education of students;
  • provide a parental perspective to assist the Principal in decision making;
  • allow parents to be informed and educated about the faith-life and educational goals of St Benedict's;
  • promote appropriate social contact among Parents & Friends;
  • foster effective partnerships between parents, students, staff, Mary Mackillop Parish and Diocese; and

St Benedict’s understands that for some families in our school their engagement has been greatly affected by COVID-19 and  work and family commitments.  St Benedict’s acknowledges that some families' answers in the survey can also be based upon pre-COVID times.
