OPTIONAL Pre Tryout Clinics

Pre Tryout Clinics are for the girls to get comfortable with basic skills including cheers, chants, dances, motions, stunts, tumbling, jumps etc. These clinics are not required and are largely for girls to ask any basic material questions, talk with some of the senior cheerleaders from the last season and overall gain some tips and get comfortable. There will be no tryout material taught at these clinics. Absolutely no school paraphernalia to be worn at pre tryout clinics or tryouts.

Tryout Week

Try outs will be composed of two material days that are MANDATORY.

Material Day #1: Monday April 22nd, 2024 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Material Day #2: Wednesday April 24th, 2024 6:30pm - 8:30pm

Optional Review Day: Friday April 26th, 2024 at 6:30pm

Tryout Day: Sunday April 28th, 2024 starting at 2pm until all tryouts are completed

Girls are to wear plain white shirts and black bottoms to tryouts. We have scheduled these after spring practices but understand that girls may be late or are not able to attend the full time. If girls have circumstances or prior obligations that do not allow them to attend, please email MBACheer@montgomerybell.edu no later than 3:00pm on Monday April 22nd, 2024.

Tryout material will be distributed by video to all girls, including those with special exemptions from mandatory material days.

If you expect to be late or need to leave early, please communicate this with coaches by 3:00pm on material days (this is crucial to us knowing when in the 2 hour period to test stunting).

The Optional Review Day is for girls to ask questions and review as a group and participate in a “mock tryout” wherein we will give them a quick glimpse as a group to understand the flow of the tryout day. The Tryout Day is Mandatory except for those who communicate extenuating circumstances in advance. Tryouts will promptly begin at 2:30pm (girls should arrive no later than 2pm for registration and for group assignments). Girls are welcome to arrive early to warmup. Girls should enter through the main entrance of the Burkholder Wellness Center and tryouts will occur on the Indoor Turf. We expect tryouts to last 4 hours and girls are required to leave campus immediately after their individual tryout. Girls with exceptions to submit a video for their tryout are required to email this video to MBACheer@montgomerybell.edu by 12pm on Sunday April 28th, 2024.

We will communicate individually with girls requiring what we need to see in their video submissions.
