SSAC Parent and Player Code of Conduct
The Code of Conduct identifies the standard of behavior that is expected of all South Side Athletic Club members including athletes, coaches, parents, directors, and volunteers. The South Side Athletic Club is committed to providing a sport environment in which all individuals are treated with respect.
Members of the South Side Athletic Club shall conduct themselves at all times in a fair and responsible manner.
Members shall refrain from comments or behaviors that are disrespectful, offensive, abusive, racist, or sexist.
In particular, the South Side Athletic Club will not tolerate behavior that constitutes harassment or abuse.
During the course of all South Side Athletic Club activities and events:
Members shall avoid behavior that brings the SSAC or the sport of hockey into disrepute including, but not limited to, abusive use of alcohol and non-medical use of drugs. SSAC members shall not use illicit drugs/narcotics/alcohol or performance enhancing drugs or methods.
SSAC members shall at all times adhere to the South Side Athletic Club operating policies and procedures, to rules governing SSAC events and activities, and to rules governing any competition in which the member participates on behalf of the South Side Athletic Club.
Members of SSAC shall not engage in any activity or behavior that interferes with a competition or with any athlete’s preparation for a competition, or which endangers the safety of others.
Failure to comply with this Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Discipline policy of the South Side Athletic Club. Such action may result in the member losing the privileges that come with membership in the South Side Athletic Club, including the opportunity to participate in SSAC activities.
