If you're reading this that means you're an author or publicist looking to host an event at The Stacks in honor of one of your new titles. Thank you for thinking of us! Before you fill out this form, there are a few things we need you to know.
We are a very small 800-square-foot neighborhood bookstore with a total staff of 4 and though we wish we could host an event with every author who requests one, we simply do not have the budget for it.
Due to financial and logistic restrictions, we are not able to purchase books from authors on consignment. If your book is not available through Ingram or a publisher with whom we have a vendor contract, we are unable to work with you at this time. Similarly, if your book is only available through Amazon Self-Publishing or another platform that does not supply books to brick-and-mortar independent bookstores, we are unable to work with you.
Please also note that we do not carry spiritual or religious texts, and we do not carry any books that have been generated or edited using AI technology of any kind.
We receive 1-2 event requests from authors each day and our current turnaround time is roughly 3 weeks. Please do not call the store phone in regards to your event request. The store phone number will connect you with the bookseller currently at the shop register and not the owner or events manager. Daily phone calls will not speed up our turn around time.
