The Liturgy Committee has prepared Eucharistic material for use in times of Suffering or Lament, which have been approved for experimental use by the Faith and Order Board and the College of Bishops.

The Eucharistic Material for times of Suffering or Lament is based on the 1982 Eucharistic liturgy. As such, care has been taken to keep the structure that people are familiar with. Some parts of the liturgy have remained the same, some have been adapted slightly for the purpose of this liturgy, whilst some other parts are new texts (sometimes entirely new, sometimes based on other liturgical texts). New texts include Litanies, Confession and Absolution, Collect, Prayer of Consecration, Post-Communion Prayer, and Blessing for use in times of Suffering or Lament.
