Our meetups usually feature 3 short (15-20 minutes MAX) talks on topics related to technology leadership, people management, hiring, and strategy. We then follow it up with a 30min Q&A featuring all panelists. We are also interested in experimenting with shorter (5-10min) lightning talks, so proposals for those are also welcome.
Themes that we're particularly interested in hearing about:
- The tech industry downturn (navigating a layoff; financial management/preparation; knowing when to leave a company)
- Startups (how VCs evaluate them; what to do when your startup cash tap dries up; Inflection points as your team grows)
- Tech debt (build vs buy; when to invest in building a new system)
- People management (how to run effective one-on-ones; supporting and modelling good mental health)
- Productivity hacks and tips
