Have your say! Responding to the needs of adolescents and youth in the time of the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic East and Southern Africa
This study aims to explore and learn from your experiences, challenges and learnings about the actions taken to protect yourselves, your peers and communities in the time of the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) in East and Southern Africa.

The survey is undertaken by the United Nations Sexual and Reproductive Health Agency (UNFPA) East and Southern Africa Regional Office, the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) Regional Support Team for Eastern and Southern Africa, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and cultural organization Regional Office for Southern Africa (UNESCO), Restless Development and the African Youth and Adolescents Network on Population and Development (AfriYAN).

The information we receive from you and other young people will help us to better respond to the needs of adolescents and youth in our communication and programme responses developed for and with young people in East and Southern Africa.

The expected respondents to this survey are young people in all their diversity between the ages of 18 and 35 years. The survey team will not consider responses of respondents below this age, as this would require parental/custodian consent.

The information gathered during this questionnaire will solely be used for this study. The information will be kept confidential and it will not be shared with other partners.

The survey is accessible on computers and through smartphones.

The expected time for completion is 10-15 minutes.

For any additional information about the questionnaire, its purpose and use of information, kindly contact: Maja Hansen, Programme Specialist, UNFPA East and Southern Africa Regional Office (mahansen@unfpa.org).
