Music is Art has started an official Coaching And Mentoring Program for those interested in furthering their music related ambitions. This volunteer program is for individuals who are looking for one-on-one coaching assistance in specific areas of interest. All participants must be over 18 years of age. The benefits of the program may be career growth, development of aspirations, learning different perspectives, gaining new insights, developing concrete goals.

Matches must commit to a 6 month relationship, although the frequency and format are up to the pairing. Matches will be confidential and only known by MiA staff. While we will do our best to make good matches, we will also have a system in place for mismatches. To ensure the success of the program, we will be monitoring the mentor/mentee relationship in regards to frequency of meetings/conversations, establishing goals, etc. although your relationship will be private. At the end of the 6 months both mentor and mentee will be asked to complete a formal program evaluation form.

Mentors should ideally be experienced in the specific areas outlined below, be accessible, committed, and engaged in the program, be a good listener, a positive role model, and willing to share experiences.

Mentees should ideally be committed to self development, be open and honest, actively listen, be open to advice and feedback, be accessible, committed, and engaged.
