You can only run for a position in a constituency in which you are a member. Students on joint majors can only run in one constituency. Submissions will be checked against the official student lists provided by UCD and will not be counted if deemed invalid.

To run in the by-elections, at least ten people from your course must sign a petition to reopen the election. You must then be nominated by five people to run in this constituency (you can be nominated by five of the ten people that reopened the constituency). If no one from your course contests your nomination within a week of you submitting your form, you will be deemed elected. In order to nominate yourself in an election, you must submit the names, student numbers, and UCD connect email addresses of 5 or more members of that constituency who support your nomination. Please make sure these are accurate. The Union Returning Officer will be in contact with all those who you list below as supporting your nomination.
