AquaBloom International Sports Technology Group (ABSG) is the first platform focusing on international sports innovation in China. It is determined to build an international SportsTech center and ecosystem with global influence, serving the development of sports innovation in China and the world.

Hong Kong Cyberport is an innovative digital community with over 1,900 technology companies.  With a vision to be the hub for digital technology and contributor to the economy of Hong Kong, Cyberport is committed to nurturing a vibrant tech ecosystem by cultivating talent, promoting entrepreneurship among youth, supporting start-ups on their growth journey, fostering industry development by promoting strategic collaboration with local and international partners, and integrating new and traditional economies by accelerating digital adoption in the public and private sectors.

In August 2022, ABSG and Cyberport officially announced in the annual signature summit Digital Entertainment Leadership Forum (DELF) that the two sides would carry out multi-level, all-round and in-depth cooperation to jointly build a Global SportsTech Centre, Cluster and Ecosystem. To make positive contributions to the overall development of SportsTech industry, a high-value industrial base would be established to accelerate integration and cooperation of global SportsTech industry.

Cyberport’s suite of entrepreneurship programmes including Cyberport Creative Micro Fund and Cyberport Incubation Programme provides up to HK$1.1 million funding and free working spaces, along with comprehensive support from training and mentorship, technology infrastructure, advisory for product and business development to investment opportunities. Cyberport has also set up a HK $400-million investment fund, Cyberport Macro Fund (CMF) to drive co-investments for start-ups to enhance their fundraising capabilities. Furthermore, Cyberport Investors Network (CIN) connects start-ups to more than 150 high-end investment institutions for a full range of financing channels and collaboration opportunities to support their entrepreneurial pursuits with venture capital. Cyberport also provides companies with access to a wide range of official funding support schemes. 

The programmes are open for applications with every year. The programmes accept 3 intakes in 2023/24 with the most recent application deadline being April 3, 2023.

Application Procedures

The application deadline for both programmes of the next intake (May 2023 intake) will be on 3 Apr 2023. Applicants are required to submit an online application via Cyberport Entrepreneurship Management System. Please also check out the guides and notes for applicants before submission.
