Patchmon’s Thai Desserts & More is a small family-run business. We are the first official traditional Thai dessert shop in Toronto. Established in 2015, we introduce a wide variety of authentic Thai sweets and savoury. Not only do we sell these desserts, we aim to promote awareness about another aspect of Thai culture which is not widely known about. We were previously located at 1) Bloor West Village (Jane and Bloor), and 2) the Casa Loma area (Dupont and Spadina).

We are now located at 283 Dundas St West (Dundas St W & University Avenue) near the AGO and OCAD University. With greater demands, we are looking to recruit team members to join us in promoting Thai desserts and expanding people’s knowledge about this aspect of Thai culture.

Position & Duties
Position Title: GENERAL FRONT STORE HELP & PREP

Main Duties (However, not limited to):
• Introduce and explain Thai desserts to customers
• Set up and manage storefront
• Assist with kitchen prep as assigned by Patchmon the chef/owner, as needed. 
• Steam desserts and prep for store opening
• Stock up the front store supplies and check on inventory regularly
• Manage the front store cleanliness and organization
• Provide exceptional customer service
• Comprehensively explain about Thai desserts and relevant products
• Appropriately recommend customers about Thai desserts while keeping in mind of their dietary restrictions
• Coordinate with front store manager on orders, feedback, customer requests and social media content
• Answer phone calls / social media accounts for orders

What We're Looking For
• PREFERENCE: Someone who is primary able to work storefront with some prep work.

• Fluency in English (required)
• Fluency in Thai or another language is an asset
• Some understanding of Thai culture is an asset
• Previous experience in customer service or food industry is an asset
• Food Handler's Certificate is an asset
• Passion to work in food/dessert industry
• Detail-oriented, able to multitask, and work in a fast paced environment1

• Open to learning new knowledge and about other cultures (If you have little experience about Thai desserts and culture, no worries, we can teach you)
• A reliable, responsible, and punctual individual
• Motivated team-player with positive attitude
• Experience in creating content for social media accounts


Someone who previously visited Patchmon's Thai Desserts & More shop or event booth is preferred
