Wofford College 2022 Dessert Competition Entry Form

All desserts must be delivered to Olin 204 no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, December 2.

There will be 3 celebrity judges from Wofford College this year: Ms. Cathy Young who bakes the desserts in Burwell, Vice President Hurley, and Dr. Beau Christ. The judges will choose one winner. Additionally, there will be a "Peoples' Choice Award" winner that will be voted on by students, faculty, and staff who are not participating in the competition.

Start Time: Friday, December 2 at 3:00 pm (judging will take place shortly after)

The Rules Committee consists of Dr. Joseph Spivey, Dr. Matthew Cathey, Kent Brannon, Eliza Williams, Hallie Dudley, and Caroline Gargano.

Please carefully review the rules below. Please check each box as you review the rules. Any unchecked boxes will result in disqualification from the competition.

The theme this year is Holiday Desserts

Item may be from a box (i.e. boxed cake mixes, pre-made icing, etc)

Item must be prepared by the contestant

Item does not have to be baked (i.e. "no bake" desserts are allowed)

No bribing (grades, money, etc)

Contestants cannot discuss any entry publicly

Decorations and embellishments for the dessert may be store bought

Winning item will be judged on presentation, taste, and creativity in keeping with the Holiday theme

Contestants cannot vote

Contestants do not need to be present at the time of judging to win, but it is strongly encouraged
