Congratulations!  We are excited and blessed  by the birth of your child and that you have chosen for your child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism at St. Joan of Arc Church.

If this is your first child being baptized in the parish, we ask that you attend a Baptism Preparation class. You can contact Claire Thompson by email at cthompson222@sjoa.org to sign up. If this is not your first child, please contact Claire, we'll discuss the situation and assess if a class is appropriate. The form is still required.

Godparents
A Catholic godparent must be a practicing Catholic, attained at least 16 years of age, not bound by any canonical penalty, not the father or mother and who has received the Sacraments of Initiation, Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. If you are having difficulty in finding a godparent, St. Joan of Arc can provide one.

At least one Catholic godparent is required for Baptism.  If you would like to have a Christian Witness, someone belonging to a Christian Church other than the Catholic Church, you may have them stand at the Baptism as well. Only Catholic godparents will be listed on the Baptismal certificate.
