AMBR Mock Candidacy Intake Form
* It is required to attend at least 3 AMBR Meetings/Events before requesting a Mock Candidacy Exam *

Please fill out the following form in order to schedule your mock candidacy exam. Mock Exams are intended to provide an opportunity to practice presenting and receive feedback on your project As these mock exams take time to coordinate, please allow us 3-4 weeks to schedule your exam.

Please note that some programs have placed limits on help from faculty, if you are unsure on your program’s specific limitations please check with your Program Director.

Once scheduled, we require each student to provide the mock committee with your proposal (specific aims and research strategy) one week prior to the mock exam. Exams will be 1h 15min total, allowing for your presentation followed by questioning from the mock committee, and then feedback.

You have the option to allow your mock candidacy exams will be advertised and open to the public. While it is not mandatory, we highly encourage public mock candidacy exams as they are a valuable learning opportunity for other junior members of the group to see how candidacy exams work.
