SOMA Flag Football 2022 Volunteers
We have put forward a plan to establish a committee in order to sustain the continued management of the league across a group of parents, under defined roles that consider the leagues needs, and alongside a time commitment we can realistically expect from volunteer parents.

Please, as parents of this league, take a look at positions and sign up links below.  There are many opportunities and commitment levels to consider, all of which all are required in order to make next season operate smoothly.

Divisional Leads
Recruiting and organizing of coaches and teams for child's age group.                                                                             Divisional liaison to commissioner for communications, scheduling, disputes.                                                                                                    Estimated Workload:  10-15 hours in Spring, 1 hour/week during season.
8 Year Old Clinic Leads
Organize drills and train young players and volunteer coaches.                                                                                                            Recruiting of parents to assist and coach.                                                                                                                                      Estimated workload:  1-2 hours/week during season.
Player Assessment and Draft Committee
Planning assessment days and draft.                                                                                                                                              Collecting, organizing and distributing player data and running draft.                                                                                                                        Estimated Workload:  30-40 hours in Spring.
Referee Management Personnel
Recruitment, training and scheduling of referees.                                                                                                                           Estimated workload:  1-2 Training Days.  2-4 hours/week during season.  
Rules and Fair Play Committee
Debate/determine both gameplay and fairness rules.                                                                                                                        Work with head of referees to clarify rules and train referees.                                                                                                             Work with coaches and committee to resolve disputes and ensure fair play.                                                                               Estimated workload:  10 hours in Spring/Summer. **Game days:  At least one member of this committee would be expected to be at field each game day.
Registration and Communications Personnel
Scheduling, maintain committee notes, league communications, assisting town on scheduling.                                                  Handle registrations, player checkins on assessment days, early season.                                                                                    Estimated workload:  As needed, 1 or 2 on field days for registrations, etc.
Commissioner
Administrative lead of league. Manage subcommittees.                                                                                                                   Mitigate disputes, rules conversations, etc.                                                                                                                                           Work with town regarding fields, communications.                                                                                                                         Estimated workload:  1-2 hours per week throughout year, 3-5 hours/w during season.
