Kol Sasson Virtual Audition Submission Fall 2022!
Welcome to auditions for Kol Sasson! While this semester looks a bit different than normal, we are trying to make this virtual pivot as easy for our auditionees as possible if in-person is not an option for them! We want to get a sense of who you are and what you’re all about! Remember, every member of the group has gone through this audition process in some form, so try to relax and sing your heart out! Check out the videos below for more information about our group and how this audition will work!

Don't worry about writing in full sentences when answering the questions on this form - this should not take you more than 5 minutes to fill out!

*DEADLINE TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION IS SEPTEMBER 14TH AT 7PM*
*YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED STUDENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND TO AUDITION*
*IF YOU RECEIVE A CALLBACK YOU MUST ATTEND IN-PERSON ON SEPTEMBER 18*

To submit your video, you can upload it to YouTube and set it to "unlisted" so we are the only ones who can view it with the link. You can also upload it to Google Drive and make sure the sharing settings are set to "anyone with the link can view" or else we will not be able to watch your video. If you are unable to do either of these options, you may also email it to us (umdkolsasson@gmail.com) with your full name in the subject.

RULES FOR YOUR VIDEO:
1. No autotune or any manipulation of your voice - we want to hear your beautiful natural voice!
2. You may sing any song you like but please keep it to just one verse and chorus (preferably not a musical theater song)
3. When you sing your solo song, please do not have any background music playing - just your voice!
4. You can record using any sort of equipment you have (phone, computer, microphone, etc.) but we prefer a regular phone camera or computer webcam.
5. Be yourself!! Don't be afraid to show your personality in your video and just have fun with it!
 
Remember, you do not need to be Jewish or know Hebrew to audition for Kol Sasson! You also do not need to have any prior a cappella experience!
