2024 One World Day VENDOR Application
We invite you to apply to celebrate the 78th One World Day hosted by the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation.  There are 40+ Cleveland Cultural Gardens.  “Peace through Mutual Understanding” is the motto. One World Day is the only occasion when all Cleveland Cultural Gardens come together and celebrate as one. Signature events include the Parade of Flags, Naturalization Ceremony, Cultural performances, food, activities, education, and more.  Last year we had 30,000 people attend the 76th Annual One World Day.

Upon acceptance, invoice will be sent and payment is due upon receipt.

Logistic information on Check ins, setup, etc. will be sent to all approved vendor by August 10th or so.

Vendors may not sell conventional soft drinks or bottled water.  Only specialized “ethnic” beverages (teas, special carbonated beverages, juices, etc.) are permitted by vendors. The individual Gardens will sell Bottled water as a fundraiser.   *

Regardless of the situation (weather, vendor unable to participate, etc.), there will be no refunds of any fees. Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day will make efforts for the event to be scheduled as planned. The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation reserves the right to cancel your participation, if accepted, and to dismiss any vendor from the event without refund.  Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. *

I understand application submission does not guarantee acceptance and I will be notified if accepted and will receive additional information regarding my participation, assigned location,  instructions for setup and tear down, parking and additional information pertaining to the day of the event. I understand if I arrive after my assigned set up time I forfeit my participation and fees.  I understand I must remain open according to the published schedule and will abide. *

I understand I am required and responsible and must abide all City, State and Federal Regulations, licenses, permits, insurances, tax laws and collecting of sales tax required by law to conduct my business.  All Merchant Vendors must be registered with the Ohio Secretary of State, Cuyahoga County and City of Cleveland to legally conduct business in Ohio and must submit a copy of your vendor license.  Food vendors are required to abide by all City, State and Federal Regulations that apply to their business and their presence at an outdoor event and have their City of Cleveland food handler, health and fire permits. These permits must be visible in your booth area or readily available. All food vendors must meet the Guidelines of the Cleveland Department of Public Health. Public Health Inspectors and Fire Inspectors will inspect each vendor booth and will point out problems they see or concerns they might have. If there is any issue, the inspectors can and will shut you down.  It will be the responsibility of each vendor to follow applicable federal, state and local laws and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day Rules and Regulations, and to maintain safe working conditions. Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day and Security may stop any hazardous activities or the use of particular equipment/item which they deem unsafe. *

All photography, video, visuals and sounds bytes taken during festival will be used for future Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations promotion. The applicant, through its duly authorized representative, consents on its behalf, including its members, volunteers, staff and employees, if applicable, to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations use of its names on Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations website(s) and social media sites as well as to authorize the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations to photograph, videotape, film and record (including but not limited to film, tape, or any other medium), its appearance, performance, interviews, rehearsals, behind the scenes work, and work as crew at Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations. Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations may also edit the same at its discretion and to include it with other sights, sounds, performances, organizations, and people as well as sound effects, special effects, digital effects and music. Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations may incorporate the same into the picture, trailers, posters or other materials or programs related to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations; to use and to license others to use such records and photographs in any manner or media whatsoever, including without limitation unrestricted use for purposes of publicity, advertising and sales promotion; and to use its names, likeness, voice, biography and other information in connection with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations and for any other purpose associated with said festival. The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and related organizations is not responsible for any unauthorized duplication, distribution and/or use by third parties. *

No drugs, no alcoholic beverages, no tobacco products, no weapons of any kind. No bootleg items, no illegal products and those not authorized by the manufacturer or distributor. No raffle tickets may be sold or given away. No hats, t-shirts or any other paraphernalia with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation or Cleveland One World Day or that of Sponsors.   All goods displayed and or sold must meet guidelines of the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day Executive committee.  Vendors may not leave their booth for the purpose of attracting customers or physically handling guest. Vendors should not distract guest with loud speech, sound, or performances outside of their booth space. Vendors may offer samples or giveaways and/or an activity within their booth to attract guest. • All Vendors must supply their own table covering/skirting and banner/signage • each vendor is responsible for the maintenance and clean-up of his/her own area. Please store boxes and additional supplies out of sight during festival hours (i.e. under your covered table). Please dispose of trash and recyclables in their proper containers (provided by the festival). Any booth-related item(s) left after the festival on Sunday will incur a $100 fee per item. • All booth/table spaces must remain open during festival hours.  All vendors are to comply with set-up schedule, rules, and regulations: Set-up hours will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Vehicles are permitted on-site for UNLOADING ONLY. Please do not park your vehicle while you set-up. All Vehicles must be removed from the area by 10 a.m. All Vendors are required to be set-up and ready for inspection and operation no later than 10 a.m. Vendors must not tear down/leave prior to close of event without prior permission from the Cleveland One World Day vendor committee chairs. The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and the City of Cleveland shall not be responsible for and are not custodians of any of your equipment or property at the event, and shall not be liable for any loss or damage to such property. Any special storage needs must be discussed with Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day Executive committee prior to the event. • Chairs and tables specifically provided for the use of dining areas, entertainment areas or other booths must not be removed. If you supply your own table(s) and chair(s), clearly labeled them to prevent any confusion with rental property. • Do not leave cash or completed charge slips with signatures unsecured or visible to the public (do not use clear containers for cash boxes). • It will be the responsibility of each vendor to follow applicable federal, state and local laws and the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day Rules and Regulations, and to maintain safe working conditions. Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, Cleveland One World Day and Cleveland Police may stop any hazardous activities or the use of particular equipment/item which they deem unsafe.  NO weapons, smoking, illegal drugs, or other illegal substances on premises. *

I declare that I am of legal age and have every right to contract in my own name in the above regard. Waiver and Release of Liability I am an authorized representative of the applicant and hereby, on behalf of the applicant and its related entities as well as myself, my heirs, and executors waive, release, and forever discharge any all rights, and claims for damages, demands, or actions which we may have or may hereafter accrue to us against Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation, One World Day Committee, City of Cleveland, events sponsors, affiliate organizations, and its affiliated owners, volunteers, and all other related entities for any and all injuries suffered even death, by us in any manner related to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day, including but not limited to marketing, set-up, festival events, breakdown, and clean-up in said events. My application submission indicates that I understand and agree to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day instructions and regulations set forth in this vendor application and future instructions, regulations, information and release the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day and affiliate participants from any and all liability claims arising out of or related to my participation as a vendor. I further have read and understand the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day Rules and Regulations and agree to comply.  The Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation One World Day is not responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings or merchandise, or loss of any product due to external factors. Please be careful and responsible for your area and we advise that vendors carry their own insurance. Any accidents caused by a vendor and space or goods will be the responsibility of that vendor. *

*By signing this application form: the applicant, by and through its duly authorized undersigned representative, and including the applicant’s members, volunteers, staff and employees, if applicable, and the applicant’s heirs, affiliated subsidiaries and parent organizations, administrators and executors (hereinafter collectively referred to as “the applicant”), hereby waive, release, and forever discharge any and all rights, claims for damages, demands, or actions which the applicant may have or may hereafter accrue to the applicant against the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day, its organizers, volunteers, independent contractors, sponsors and affiliated organizations, the City of Cleveland, event sponsors, and all affiliate organizations and individuals of Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day for any and all property damage, illness, accident, injuries suffered, even death, by the applicant in any manner related to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day, including but not limited to set-up, festival events, breakdown, clean-up, any services rendered, first aid, marketing and publicity of said festival. The applicant acknowledges and understands that the applicant is responsible for complying with all federal, state and local laws and regulations including but not limited to tax, labor and workers compensation laws.  The undersigned, on behalf of the applicant, understands and agrees to comply with the above as well as with the Cleveland Cultural Gardens Federation and Cleveland One World Day Rules and Regulations.
