We are selecting the following program option for our child for 1st Quarter for the 2020-2021 school year. We understand that we will have the ability to change this selection for Quarter 2 if we select options 1, 2, or 3. *

Option #1: K-5th Full Day Option - my child will attend in-person school 5 days a week (Monday-Friday).

Option #2: 6th-8th Full Day Option - my child will attend in-person school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesday will be a "work from home day".

Option #3: Remote Learning Option - my child will work 100% from home with Leman provided curriculum, instruction and assessments.

I am not comfortable with any of these options and will be withdrawing my child from Leman Academy. I understand that if we want to return to Leman Academy, we must go through the Enrollment Process posted on the website.

Distance Learning Attendance Procedures & Expectations

● Attendance will be measured by the full day. Attendance in our Distance Learning Program is defined as evidence of “engaging with the assigned material” at least one time per day.

● Evidence of attendance will be measured in at least one of the following ways (including, but not limited to):
• Assignments submitted that were due on that day
• Questions to answer in Learning Management System
• Participation in an online discussion in Learning Management System
• Class participation during the scheduled class time
• Scholar participation during scheduled related services
• Phone call with the teacher or Related Services provider

● It is expected that parents shall, to the maximum extent possible, ensure that their child participates in the distance learning program.
● Parents do not need to call if their child is unavailable for the designated class time, as long as the scholar completes the daily assignment.

● If a scholar will not be able to participate in any learning activities that day, a parent can email the scholar’s homeroom teacher on the same day of the absence. The absence will be considered excused.

● The scholar will receive an unexcused absence when:
• a scholar does not participate in any part of the learning activities for the day,
• has not checked in with the teacher, and
• when the scholar’s parent does not contact the teacher.
