Prosperous Investments, LLC recognizes the importance of a sound
education. Intellect is the seed that produces the world’s leaders & scholarship
is an especially important principle to Prosperous Investments. This scholarship
rewards young leaders who value scholarship and aspire to become a future leader.
Purpose of this
Scholarship:
To increase trade school,
college, and university opportunities for high school seniors
To encourage high
academic achievement in our youth
To reward hard-working
high school seniors and assist with their initial collegiate expenses
Eligibility and
Requirements at the time of submission for this scholarship:
Applicant must be an
enrolled high school student in his/her senior year
Applicant must be in good
standing with their high school
Applicant must have a
cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale
Applicant must be
accepted to a 4-year accredited college, university, trade school or community
college
Application: Complete this form, or mail, or scan & email completed application
packet to Prosperous Investments (1930 Village Center Circle, Suite 3-3362, Las
Vegas, NV, 89134 or paulprosper@pprosperllc.com). The application package must include:
1) Completed application form
2) 1 completed scholarship recommendation (Teacher,
guidance counselor, coach, employer, clergy, NOT friends or family) form. The online recommendation form can be completed via this link: https://forms.gle/45LpkPdUXXS6HoHN7
3) 1 Essay no more than 2 pages in length, times new roman
font (size 12), 1” margins, & double-spaced
4) Current high school transcript
5) A copy of a college/university, trade school or community
college acceptance letter
Scoring:
The
Prosperous Investments Scholarship Scoring Committee will evaluate each
application and select ONE winner. If there is a tie, the prize money will be split.
The winning essay will be scored based on the grading rubric that includes organizations of the essay, content of the essay, and spelling/grammar.
Winning
Amount:
The Prosperous Investments Scholarship
will award a minimum of $1,500.00 to the winning applicant. Payment will be to the institution that the winner will
attend in the fall.
Deadline:
Applications postmarked after 31 May will not be accepted and
returned to sender. Prosperous
Investments will announce the winner no later than 1 August.
2024 Essay Contest Topic:
Social justice issues are complex and change as time evolves. They all share a common theme; the fight for fairness, equity, and access for all members of society. Examples of social justice issues are racial injustice, gender inequality, economic justice, LGBTQ+ rights, climate justice, and disability rights.
1. Discuss an issue of social justice that you care about deeply
2. Explain why this issue matters
3. Share how you plan to advocate for change
Be sure to provide examples and/or support for your content. Don't forget the introduction paragraph to introduce your topic, and a conclusion paragraph to summarize your work.
