THE CHURCH STREET MASK PROJECT - SIGN UP & ENROLMENT FORM
Please fill the form below to sign up and speed up the enrolment process so you don't have to fill it in when you join us. Our Funders require us to collect the information below, but you can fill in only the information you want to share.

You will also be asked when you would like to take part, but this is only to give us an idea of numbers and help with the planning since the sessions are drop-in and you can join when it works for you.

THE CHURCH STREET MASK PROJECT
FREE Mask Making & Performance Drop-in classes

This is an intergeneration project for young people 18+ and elders 60+ (all are welcome if you are 18+).

For a month Dende Collective will hold an open creative workspace at Penfold Hub for all to make masks and learn how perform with them. You will make a papier-mâché half mask, create a costume for your character, and learn how to bring your mask to life. On the last day there will be a walkabout performance for the characters on Church Street, followed by a party for us to celebrate what we achieved.

You can join at any point and make a mask when it suits you, but note that we have a limited amount of people who can be making masks in one go and places will be allocated first come, first served.

This is completely FREE and no experience needed.

Dende Collective is a theatre company based in Kilburn with a strong Brazilian flavour, and like the dishes cooked with the Dende oil, our shows are a savoury feast with an international feel and a rich mixture of styles and visual elements. Dende also produces programs aimed at encouraging community and young people involvement with live theatre. Our projects celebrate the exciting cultural mixture that makes London one of the most vibrant cities in the planet.

A Dende Collective project part of the Inside Out 2023 programme funded by WCC.
