MSPA Grant Application

Designed to support innovative and creative teaching projects and activities!

Guidelines

The purpose of the grant program is to provide funding for innovative faculty and staff projects, ideas and opportunities that would not otherwise be funded by the school budget. There is no such thing as a grant too small. The MSPA encourages asks of all sizes, and any request $50 or above needs to be submitted as a grant. Grants that are larger in dollar amounts (e.g., anything over $600) should benefit a greater portion of Middle School students. All funds need to be used in the current year; therefore, grants will not be carried over.

Procedures 

1. Complete the form and click submit to share the grant application with Sarah Rubin, CEMS Principal. All grants, regardless of amount, must be submitted to the CEMS principal.

2. Principal Rubin reviews grant requests and follows up with the applicant with an approval or additional questions. 

3. Principal or applicant emails the grant co-chairs Heidi-Anne Shephard at hloughlin@msn.com or Heather Reeves at hreeves.mspa@gmail.com with notice of a principal reviewed grant request no later than the Friday prior to next MSPA monthly meeting.

4. MSPA grant chair(s) present grants during monthly meetings. 

5. MSPA decides to approve, partially fund, deny or further review the grant. 

6. MSPA grant chair(s) will notify staff and provide information necessary to get funding. 

7. Should circumstances demand a grant decision prior to regularly scheduled monthly meeting, MSPA officers may act on the request so long as it does not exceed an amount of $300. All other procedures shall be followed, and the grant chairs will report the action to the MSPA.
