We need volunteer observers who can stop by the Marine Discovery Center and help monitor activity around the Purple Martin gourd rack. This is important in the beginning of the season when we are trying to attract the birds because everyone will want to know if one is spotted! If we get chicks this year we will also need volunteers for frequent visits to help any pre-mature jumpers. We can predict the likely time for this risk after we know the dates for the first eggs.

Volunteers will receive instructions on what to look for and how to report their visit with their cell phone.If you can volunteer some of your time to help with the Purple Martin Project this season, please provide your contact information. Thanks! Should be fun!
