Welcome.
The Root Mutual Aid & Support Network (MASN) is here to support the needs that arise for our community and to empower and connect people. This component of the program is focused on creating a supportive network that can meet more of the day to day living for our BIPOC people. We are prioritizing the needs of BIPOC folks, Root program participants, and our extended Root family.
We are seeking to add to our network of people who have something to offer or are willing to be a resource.
If you would like to participate in mutual aid with our BIPOC community, please enter your contact info below and let us know about what kind of support you would like to offer. We all have gifts to offer. And there are times in all our lives when some of us have more needs and times when some of us have privilege and resources that need to be shared. Everyone's responses will become a spreadsheet of offerings that will be viewed only by a few selected Root staff/volunteers and Lost River volunteers. And then the Network will match up folks who have needs with those who are able to give. At that time your contact information and what you can offer may be shared with people having needs, so they can contact you. Key to prioritizing liberation and empowerment, we focus on the person seeking support having autonomy over the ways they receive support. Therefore we include some personal questions, including a choice to not answer them.
