WIM is hosting a hybrid event to showcase mathematics research done by women at UCLA and to promote interest in research among undergraduate women in mathematics.
This year, we are combining Research Night with a Mentorship Program dinner. The research night event will occur from 5pm to 6pm, and then everyone attending in person is welcome to stay for dinner and conversation from 6pm to 7pm. We plan to schedule the event for an evening some time during Weeks 7 through 9 based on presenter availability.
Each presenter will have 5 to 10 minutes to give an informal talk about a project they are currently working on or have worked on in the past and to answer some audience questions. The exact time per presenter will be determined by how many people sign up; we will send an update about this later!
Please use this form to indicate that you would like to speak at Research Night. We expect to have enough time slots for all researchers who express interest in participating to be able to present. We are especially seeking interest from undergraduates; if there’s an undergraduate student you know who might want to present, please let them know and forward them the email/form.
Please fill out this form by Monday, May 1st at 11:59pm if you're interested in presenting. Thank you!
