The HOA is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, each serving a 3-year term. The Board members plan and organize events for the neighborhood, but it is the HOA members who elect the Board. Three neighbors have volunteered to run for the two open seats on the 2022 BV/S HOA Board.

Lorenzo McWilliams - I’d like to join the HOA Board of Directors to better serve my community. I’m interested in helping keep my neighbors apprised of events that we organize and inform them of safety initiatives. I’d like to help build our community and help maintain what makes this neighborhood special.

Diana Radar - I am interested in serving on the BVS HOA Board to support the community and help maintain its beauty and character. I moved to Austin from San Antonio in 1979 to attend UT and never left. My husband and I have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and our 4 grown children all attended Westwood High School. I am a Registered Professional Geologist and have worked in environmental consulting in Austin for more than 30 years. I have served on non-profit advisory boards, including my current role as President of the Mickey Leland Environmental Internship Program advisory board and previously with the South Austin Civic Club. Both my consulting and advisory board experience have taught me the importance of clear communication, transparency of operations, and listening to all members being represented are vital to building trust which is key to successful leadership. I would like the opportunity to earn your trust.

Shelley Simpson - I am a native Austinite. After I graduated from Anderson High School, I stayed in Austin and graduated from St Edward’s University. I have always worked in a career in which building relationships was the key to being successful. Community is very important to me, so having the opportunity to bring neighbors together and help create lasting friendships brings joy to my life. I am currently serving as the Special Events Coordinator for our BV/S HOA. I am excited about the opportunity to serve on the Board and would appreciate your vote!!
