Policy making and spatial planning for reducing ecosystem services trade-offs in peri-urban landscapes
Notice of data protection

We (Marcin Spyra, Guillermo Martinez Pastur, Nica Claudia Calo and Daniele La Rosa) are researchers that are conducting this survey as a part of our study related to policy making and spatial planning for reducing ES trade-offs in peri-urban landscapes.

We are aware of the data protection laws and that this is a voluntary survey. We do not request any personal information other than type of your institution and place of residence. Thus, the identity of the respondents can remain anonymous. This enables the respondents to express their opinion freely. Additionally, we ask respondents to provide us their email address so the respondents can keep updated on the survey results and on the options for collaborating with us.

The data are only used for the above mentioned study. The data collected is to be processed personally by us (Marcin Spyra, Guillermo Martinez Pastur, Nica Claudia Calo and Daniele La Rosa) without access of others. Only compiled results will be shared with our colleagues. After the completion of the study all collected information will be deleted. The compiled results will remain in the form of a report / manuscript and might be used for a project application.

Objectives of the study:

1. To identify existing shortcomings, concerning to how ES trade-offs in PULs are addressed by policy instruments and planning documents on the regional level
2. To describe good practices related to governance and planning of ES trade-offs in PULs

Majority of the questions are closed, however a comprehensive work on this survey might take up to 40 minutes. Before start working on this survey please prepare basic information concerning to:
- binding policy instrument related to your whole region, which address (or is supposed to) ES trade-offs in PULs;
- binding planning document related to your whole region, which address (or is supposed to) ES trade-offs in PULs;
- Good Practice from your region, which is related to policy making and planning of ES trade-offs in PULs.
