THE GUARD SIDE HAS REACHED THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF UNITS.  VERY SORRY.                           Sierra Cup Classic Indoor Show: March 14, 2020 - Guard Registration
The inaugural Sierra Cup Classic Indoor Show will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 and will be the premiere indoor color guard experience in California. Our ultimate goal is to offer a WGI Power Regional feel to our Central Valley units, without the expense of traveling to a WGI show out of our area. The day will include critique, video feedback from each judge, high-camera performance video in 4K resolution, and a venue that is unparalleled on the West Coast!

Our show utilizes a criteria-referenced system where a panel of adjudicators will evaluate each unit on a WGI-style sheet.  Another feature of our show is our use of video cameras to record the judge's view and commentary of your student's performance. This sort of insight is incredibly valuable and powerful, and the Sierra Cup Classic Indoor is the only show in the country to offer this level of feedback.

Our adjudicators are some of the best in the business, and are quite active in organizations such as: Bands of America, Drum Corps International, Winter Guard/Percussion International. It is our intent to bring in judges that you may not experience at a local circuit show, so that you have a fresh and unique perspective.

The format of the Sierra Cup Classic Indoor Show will be based on the following classification system:

Scholastic Jr High
Regional A
Scholastic A
Scholastic Open
Scholastic World
Independent A
Independent Open
Independent World

A limited number of units will be accepted in performance and time slots will be based on the timestamp of the full $250 payment (non-refundable, payable online to Fresno State - instructions to follow after your registration email).  As an incentive, the cost per unit will be reduced to $200 per unit should you bring multiple guards or a guard and percussion unit. A further incentive for our fall Sierra Cup participation, your unit registration will only be $175. Please keep in mind that a venue of this caliber, as well as the national-level adjudicators are included in the cost.

The guard schedule will start at 10am and run until 3:00pm. The critique schedule will be set according to sign up in each class.

Please feel free to contact Steve McKeithen (smckeithen@csufresno.edu) with any questions you may have regarding the show and we hope to see you at the inaugural Sierra Cup Classic Indoor Show!

Sincerely,

Steve McKeithen, Director of the Bulldog Marching Band
