Thank you for your interest in joining a working group!
The Land and Environmental Justice Initiative (LEJI) has three (3) working groups, namely Corporate Accountability, Climate Action, and Community Engagement. Within these spaces, we share updates and information from our respective contexts, articulate campaign demands, and coordinate to act within advocacy spaces.
In the Corporate Accountability working group, we discuss how to hold corporations accountable for land and environmental justice. We share tactics for holding corporations accountable locally and talk about how to change global systems through corporate due diligence laws and the UN binding treaty.
In the Climate Finance working group, we find ways for impacted communities to be invested in as leaders to address the climate crisis. We share skills addressing climate issues in our local work, such as responding to drought and carbon rights, and advocate for global climate systems to better include and respond to the needs of frontline communities.
In the Community Engagement working group, we explore ways how to build community power, how to ensure that frontline community members remain the leaders of global fights in key advocacy spaces.
This form will ask basic information (name, organization, etc.) and what type of engagement you plan to have with a specific working group.
Looking forward to continue our work together!
